Procurement Maturity Review

Most organisations have a sense that procurement is not quite working as it should. They are less clear on why — or where the real friction sits.

A procurement maturity review establishes where procurement currently operates across the five maturity stages, surfaces the tensions and risks that accompany that position, and gives leadership a clear, honest picture of where they are starting from.

This is not a desk-based exercise. It involves structured engagement with leadership and teams to understand how procurement operates in practice — not just how it appears on paper.

ADEPT© diagnostic review

Maturity alone does not explain performance. Two organisations at the same maturity stage can deliver very different outcomes — because the quality of alignment, governance, capability, execution and visibility varies significantly even within a single stage.

ADEPT© — the proprietary diagnostic framework developed by 5 Rights examines procurement across five dimensions: Alignment, Direction, Enablement, Performance and Transparency. It identifies where procurement is proportionate and effective, where hidden misalignment is creating friction or risk, and what excellence should look like for this organisation at this point in its development.

The output is not a maturity score. It is an organisation-specific definition of excellence and a prioritised roadmap focused on value rather than activity.

Procurement capability design

When the diagnostic reveals that procurement capability needs to change — in structure, governance, process or ways of working — 5 Rights works with leadership to design what proportionate excellence should look like in practice.
